23^RD ANNUAL SENIOR GAMES: MAY 12-17, 2008

Watch your mail, newspaper and MJAAA website. It’s coming! The 23^rd Annual Senior Games are set to begin on May 12^th. Seniors 55 years and older are encouraged to participate in the 2008 games. There is something for everyone from Bingo to the Batting Cages. New for this year will be free health screenings that will be held throughout the day.

The Senior Games Opening Ceremony is scheduled for May 12^th at 9:45 a.m. at the Derry Township Park with the official lighting of the torch to kick off the six day event.

The 2008 Senior Games Booklet containing the rules and registration forms will be available Mid April at the Elder Community Services, Inc. Building in the Lewistown Heights, Elder Community Senior Centers, the Lewistown HealthCare Foundation, the YMCA, and the Lions Den in McAlisterville.

Register early! Contestants who register and pay their fees will receive a free Senior Games T-Shirt on a first come basis. T-shirts must be picked up at the time of registration. T-shirts will only be available at the Elder Community Services Inc. building. A $4.00 registration fee is non-refundable and due by May 1. After May 1, the registration fee is $6.00.
